Fundamental Obedience is the starting point for a dog's training, where we focus on essential commands in familiar and slightly unfamiliar settings with controlled distractions.
Inside the Home, Off-Leash
Sit-Stay: The dog sits and stays in place without a leash, showing discipline and patience at home and in the yard.
Down-Stay: The dog lies down and maintains the position without a leash, demonstrating calmness.
Come When Called: The dog reliably returns to the handler without a leash in a familiar setting.
Climb/Place: The dog goes to and stays on a designated spot or elevated area without a leash until released.
Heeling: The dog walks closely without a leash, maintaining pace and position, staying focused despite minimal distractions.
